Idols, valuables stolen from Jain temple

Two idols of Lord Parshavnath, made of astadhatu and some valuables were stolen from a Jain temple at Hindoli town here last night.

Two idols of Lord Parshavnath, made of astadhatu (alloy of eight metals), and some valuables were stolen from a Jain temple at Hindoli town here last night, police said.
    
The theft was disclosed this morning, when devotees approached the temple for daily 'puja' and found that some gold and silver ornaments were also missing.
   
Police has lodged a case under different sections of IPC at Hindoli Police Station.
    
Sub Inspector at Hindoli Police Station Phool Singh said that the thieves had stolen two idols of Lord Parshavnath, made of astadhatu, one golden parasol (chattra), 11 silver parasols and other sacred valuables from the Jain temple on Tehsil Road.
