The 'Avro' aircraft, carrying 10 personnel made an emergency landing at the airport after a minor fire was detected in an electrical wire, airport officials said.

An Indian Air Force 'Avro' aircraft carrying ten personnel made an emergency landing at the airport here today after a minor fire was detected in an electrical wire, airport officials said.
The aircraft, on its way to Sulur airbase near Coimbatore, took off from the airport here and returned after the fault was detected, official sources said adding there was no report of any injury to anyone.
Officials said the aircraft returned after being airborne for about 40 minutes.
The pilot alerted that airport control room about the fire and the aircraft landed at 3.46 pm safely, the sources said.
