Humayun Tomb has been selected for the National Tourism Award in the category of best maintained tourist-friendly monument.
The award was received by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials from vice president Hamid Ansari at a function here yesterday.
The tomb was built by Humayun's wife Bega Begum to express her love for her husband, who was the second Mughal emperor.

architect of Iranian descent.
