Haryana CM announces economic package for Ellenabad

Criticising former CM Om Parkash Chautala for allegedly neglecting the development of the district, Haryana chief ninister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said in spite of ruling the state for 10 years, he
failed to solve the problems related to drinking water and irrigation. The chief minister announced an economic package of Rs48 crore for all round development of the area.

Addressing a 'Nav Vikas' rally in Ellenabad here, he said out of the total amount of the economic package, Rs18 crore would be spent on providing potable water to the town and Rs10 crore each would be spent on laying sewerage system and providing drinking water facilities in the villages of the constituency.

In addition to it, a sum of Rs10 crore would be given separately for the development of villages of the constituency, Hooda said. "A judicial complex at a cost of Rs4.88 crore and a tehsil complex has also been constructed. Apart from this, a sum of about Rs40 crore has been incurred for construction and repair of roads in the constituency. Besides this, pavement of streets in villages was also being done," he said.
