Hardcore Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Asom militant nabbed

A hardcore Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Asom (MULTA), suspected to be involved in supplying weapons to various militant outfits, was arrested in Dhubri district today, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the police and army nabbed the militant from Kataldichar area of the district.

The militant was identified as Abu Bakar Mandal and a revolver with four live rounds, one Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and huge quantities of equipment for preparing weapons were recovered from his possession.
