If you want to know that apart from the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, what other 26 ministers would be talking in their Republic Day celebration speeches, you need not listen to all of them.

Listening to just one of the ministers should be enough as there will hardly be any difference in the speeches that they deliver on January 26. The state government has circulated a single main speech to all the ministers for the purpose of speaking at their allotted venues during the R-Day celebration. All personal assistants and personal secretaries of the ministers were busy preparing the speeches of their bosses with the ‘help’ of the main speech, which has been circulated to the offices of all the ministers.

One of the personal secretaries was reading out the speech loudly imitating the minister to judge the likely time the speech would consume.

He said, “I need to read out the speech so that I can say to my minister how much time it will take. I am practising it in his reading style so that exact time can be made out.”

Personal secretary of another minister of state was narrating the speech to a computer operator. He said, “The speech is likely to last 30-45 minutes. We have received the speech from the government. All the ministers will be reading the uniform speech at all the places they have been assigned. We just need to add some of the local-level achievements of the particular location ministers will be going on the R-Day.”

He further said, “The speech is largely highlighting the achievement of the state government in last 10 years of Narendra Modi regime and the unfair treatment being given to Gujarat by the Union government. Further, it contains the development work that has taken place in the state during the last decade.”
