Tension was visible on the faces of class X students when they reached their schools for the Sanskrit exam on Tuesday. But as they came out of the examination halls, students seemed happy with the easy paper.
Though the Sanskrit examination was taken at the school level, the question paper was set by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). A teacher of a reputed school in city said that the paper did not have any blunders but some of the answers in the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) were very tricky. "Some of the answers are confusing and students had to think hard to find out the difference and select right answer. Otherwise, the paper gave a good beginning to the students," said the teacher.
"I found OMR option easier than the descriptive section. I hope that all the board exam papers remain easy," said Tirth Shah, a student of Sheth CN Vidyalaya.
According to GSHEB officials, Sanskrit language answer sheets will also be examined at the school level. The exams conducted by the GSHSEB will start from March 6 and continue till March 19.
