Gujarat Health Minister Jay Narayan Vyas had complained of giddiness during the CM's Sadbhavana fast at Anand on Tuesday.

On the second day of hospitalisation, his health has improved, according to reports. However, the minister was taken to the Sterling Hospital for endoscopy in the morning and was shifted back to the  UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research at the Civil Hospital campus around 1 pm. Sources close to him said, "As he was given anesthesia for the endoscopy, he is getting enough rest and recovering well. He was accompanied by the director of the UN Mehta Institute, Dr RK Patel, at Sterling Hospital."

Chief Minister Narendra Modi visited Vyas on Wednesday evening. The CM wished Vyas a speedy recovery and inquired about his health from the doctors of the institute. According to sources, Vyas is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Thursday.
