While Devang Nanavati won from the management seats category, Sonal Pandya of the journalism department won defeating PP Prajapati in the university teachers category. Principal of the Sahajanand College Ghanshyam Patel lost to PC Upadhayay in the commerce college faculty category. The ballot boxes of Ranjana Harish, RG Bhatt and SR Dave will be opened on the premises of the high court following the petition filed by Harish citing a possibility of malpractice during the syndicate elections. This besides, Jayesh Thakker, Himanshu Patel and Ketan Desai have won uncontested in the elections.
