Government hospitals in UP to conduct free dengue tests

Taking note of rise in the number of dengue cases, the UP Health department has directed all government hospitals to conduct dengue tests free of cost.
     
Government officials here said the department has also directed all private hospitals and pathologies to conduct 'elisa' test for dengue before confirming the disease.
     
The health department has taken this step to prevent panic among the people, they said adding the free test facility has been made available at the Balrampur, Ram Manohar Lohia, Shyama Prasad Mukherji and regional laboratory, health directorate in the state capital.
      
Meanwhile, the district malaria office sanitised the houses of dengue patients and the adjoining areas yesterday from where some cases had been reported.
      
Over two dozen dengue cases have been reported from different parts of the state so far.
