"People today have different mindsets regarding religion, due to which conflicts arise, but we Indians have believed in One God since ages. While the world, due to changing situations, has coined a new word 'Globalisation', our ancestors had already given us the concept of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (whole world as one family)." These were the words of chief minister Narendra Modi at the time of inaugurating the platinum jubilee celebration of Brahma Kumari (BK).
With the theme of -One God, One World, One Family- BK is celebrating its 75th year of inspiring and changing people's lives. The week-long celebration was inaugurated by Modi on Sunday at Venus ground, Nehrunagar-Satellite road. Mayor Asit Vora was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
Modi, while walking around, halted at every stall admiring the work done by BK volunteers. He was impressed with the aura and peaceful atmosphere at the ground. "The women power is truly reflected as the divine sisters of BK handle, administer and spread the message of love and peace in the entire world," he said.
BK Nirverbhai stressed on actual freedom of an individual. "While Gandhiji gave political independence to India, we and the entire world also need freedom from the worldly evils. If a person attains independence from the materialistic life and leads a peaceful life, he has achieved freedom in the true sense."
