Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have smashed a gang allegedly involved in black marketing of IPL tickets on the eve of the match here with the arrest of two persons and recovery of 50 tickets.

The gang was allegedly selling tickets illegally yesterday for the match between Delhi Dare Devils and Chennai Super Kings to be played in Ferozeshah Kotla stadium today.

The arrested have been identified as Vinay Kumar Jha (31), who allegedly earns his livelihood by selling cinema tickets in black, and Mohd Khalid (25), a general store owner, Ashok Chand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.

They were selling each ticket at more than double the actual value of the ticket.
