Shahida, who claims to be mother of lost-and-found toddler Pari, came to the city on Saturday to prove that the girl is her daughter.

Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Gandhinagar, will take her DNA samples soon, reports of which will be out next week.

Shahida wasn't able to produce a valid proof (a birth certificate, ration card, etc) to establish that Pari was indeed her daughter.

Earlier, Shahida who comes from Govandi area of Mumbai, claimed on Friday that the girl found on Janmabhoomi Express is her daughter. She claimed that her estranged husband Yasin had allegedly kidnapped their daughter on March 1. The man was reported missing by Mumbai police but a kidnapping complaint wasn't registered against him as he, being father of the girl, has equal right over his daughter. The couple is not yet divorced.

The seven-month old girl is currently with Mahipatram Rupram Ashram, a government orphanage in Raipur area. Kalupur police are looking into the entire matter.
