Frustration among educated youths in Jammu and Kashmir in the "absence" of an effective employment policy could have serious repercussion, a senior BJP leader said here today.
"The increasing number of unemployed youth in the state is a reflection that the ruling government and the Centre have
not been taking appropriate measures for creating job avenues," state BJP chief Shamsher Singh Manhas told reporters.
Alleging that they have failed to come out with a concrete employment policy, he said the accumulation of frustration among the educated youth could have dangerous repercussion on the state as well as the country.
Pointing out that the Jammu and Kashmir government has itself admitted that presently there are about 4.96 lakh registered educated unemployed in the state, he said, the existing employment policy does not offer anything concrete.
