As many as 40 tourists from France and Switzerland, who are on Asia tour that began in 2007, on Wednesday arrived here from Jaipur in 22 cars in the last lap of their tour. This is the second and final leg of their tour.

After spending a few days here, they will leave for the commercial capital of the country, Mumbai. After staying there for a couple of days, they will return to their country.

Talking to the media, one of the tourists, Phillip Grese, said, "We all are adventure lovers by nature and we started our tour to study different cultures and global trends. The first round of the tour was initiated in 2007, when we started from France to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Iran and finally reached Beijing in China. After reaching Beijing, we returned to our respective towns for some time. We resumed our tour on September 1, 2009, from Beijing."

The tourists came to India visiting Tibet and Nepal on the way. In India, they have already visited Varanasi, Khajuraho, Agra, Delhi and some places in Rajasthan.

After reaching any city, these tourists use the local mode of transport for going around the city. They are keen to visit the Laxmi Vilas Palace and other tourist places of the city. They were keen to go round the city in rickshaws.

Another tourist, Stefan, from France, said, "Ours is a 16,000-km tour, conducted by Pioneers of Road Organisation. The average expenditure per tourist is 15,000 euros. Out of the 40, some are couples, while some others are with their friends.

"We like Indian food, and our experience during the entire tour of India is good. People were eager to support us and guide us at every juncture. The supportive approach of Indians is really admirable," Grese added
