Four persons sentenced to four years imprisonment in Kandhamal riots case

Additional sessions judge of Fast Track Court-I, Sobhan Kumar Dash, while convicting Sunamali Pradhan, Rabi Mallick, Sika Pradhan and Lalaji Pradhan, also imposed a fine of Rs2,000 each.

Four persons were today sentenced to four years imprisonment by a Fast Track court here for their involvement in house burning and other offences during 2008 communal riot in Orissa's Kandhamal district.
 
Additional sessions judge of Fast Track Court-I, Sobhan Kumar Dash, while convicting Sunamali Pradhan, Rabi Mallick, Sika Pradhan and Lalaji Pradhan, also imposed a fine of Rs2,000 each.
 
The four were sentenced for setting fire to houses, rioting and unlawful assembly with deadly weapons at village Khajuripada under G Udayagiri police station are on August 27, 2008.
