Four militants killed in Manipur

Four militants of United Tribal Liberation Army were killed in an encounter with a combined team of police commandos and Assam Rifles personnel in Tamenglong district of Manipur, police said today.
   
They said the incident occured while the security personnel were patrolling the Nungba area in the district last evening.

One AK 47 rifle, small arms and documents were recovered from the spot, sources said adding that the bodies have been sent to Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital here for post mortem.

Over 32 persons have been killed so far in militancy-related crimes in Manipur this year.
