Four members of a family, including two children, were found dead at their residence at Palarivattom near Kochi.
The deceased were identified as Vijayan, 43, his wife Shylaja, 42, and their children Arun, 13, and Ajay, 9, police said.
The tragedy came to light when the police were alerted after foul smell started emanating from their house last night.
A letter was also recovered from the house, police said.
