Four killed in road mishap in Andhra Pradesh town

An oil tanker going towards Guntakal hit a van last night, in which Chalapthi Gupta of Guntakal, along with his family members, were travelling.

Four persons died and four others were seriously injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with an oil tanker near Rajapur village, 80 km from here, police said today.

Some of the injured were shifted to Kurnool general hospital and to the government hospital at Gooty, police said.

An oil tanker going towards Guntakal hit the van last night, in which Chalapthi Gupta of Guntakal, along with his family members, were travelling to attend the funeral rites of his close relatives at Dharmavaram.

The deceased identified were Sanjeevaiah Gupta, Padmaja, Vaishnavai and Ramanjaneyulu, police said.
