Four headmasters were suspended here for alleged misappropriation of funds allotted for construction of schools.
The suspension orders were issued by the Zila Parishad CEO Shravan Hardikar after the four accused along with the president of the Gramin Shikshan Samithi (GSS) were found guilty of embezzling funds in Apparawpeth and Totamba villages in Kinwat tehsil.
Headmaster(HM) of Govdijevli tanda village, RS Gaikwad was found guilty of misappropriation of Rs 1,85,000 in 2006-07; VS Bawale of Rs 1,61,000 at the Maliginda tanda school in 2004; S G Shinde misused Rs 1,80,000 in 2006-07 at Malakjamb village school whereas SK Halkar was found involved in peculation of Rs 81,000 in Apparawpeth school.
Hardikar also directed to lodge a criminal complaint against the foursome and the GSS president.
