Four girls, pimp arrested for running flesh trade in Raipur

Four girls, including a pimp and three of his associates, were arrested for running flesh trade at a house in Kachna locality, senior superintendent of police, Rajnesh Sinh said.

The police raided the house following a tip off and arrested the pimp Mahendra Patel and seven others, he said. The girls, who belong to West Bengal, Maharashtra and Indore, told police that Patel had brought them to the city assuring good money, Sinh said.

The police have also recovered a revolver and a cartridge from Patel's possession besides a dairy which has names of prominent men of the city, he said.

The girls were supposed to be supplied to 'customers' on the occasion of Diwali, he said, adding that further investigation into the matter was on.
