Four anti-talk NDFB militants held in Assam

Four insurgents of the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) with RDX explosives and arms have been arrested in Dhemaji district bodering Arunachal Pradesh, a senior police official said today.

On a tip off, police held the four ultras with 1kg RDX, three grenades, two revolvers and several geletin sticks, from Uriumghat in Jonai sub-division last evening, Dhemaji superintendent of police, SR Hazarika told PTI.

The four militants of the anti-talk Ranjan Daimary faction of the NDFB were caught when they were on their way to Arunachal Pradesh from Dibrugarh district in Assam after committing subversive activities in Dhemaji, Hazarika said.

The four had been identified as Kumar Narzary, Palen Swargiary, Sanjib Basumatary and Dampharang Daimary, he said.
