Former police officer arrested with stolen vehicle in Jammu

Police has arrested a former police officer and recovered a stolen vehicle from him in Jammu, police said today.

A police team at Kachi Chawani check post intercepted a Santro car last night and demanded to see its papers, they said, adding that the occupant, dismissed sub-inspector of police, Deepak Kapoor, failed to produce them.

Kapoor was arrested and during questioning, he confessed that the vehicle was a stolen one. A case has been registered against Kapoor, police said.
