Forest fires triggered a few landmines along the LoC in Poonch district, an official source said today.

The fire occurred near the LoC, a kilometer away from Chakan-da-Bagh crossing point, in Poonch district yesterday and was brought under control early today, the source said.

There was no report of loss of life or damage to property.

The landmines were planted to check infiltration from across the border, they said.
