Police recovered 170 packets of food from a gaushala, which were meant for to be distributed among poor kids and pregnant woman. These packets were sold to the gaushala and used as fodder for cows.

Acting on a complaint filed by Bal Vikas Nigam, Naroda police raided a gaushala and a farm in Hanspura village near Naroda. They found that the food packets, each containing 10 kg of nutritious food, were being used as food for the cows. These packets were supplied free of cost to one Gopinath Anganwadi centre in Naroda by the government.

The manager of the Anganwadi, Kokilaben Mansuri and her husband Vishnu Mansuri had sold off these packets at Rs40 per packet to the owner of the gaushala, Ganesh aka Munna Patel.

Naroda police also found many packets lying in the open from a farm owned by Subhash Patel near the gaushala. Police arrested Vishnu Mansuri, Munna Patel and Subhash Patel, while Kokilaben is still absconding.
