Heavy rains disrupted the flight operations at the IGI airport here today leading to diversions.
The rains late in the afternoon resulted in poor visibility. IndiGo's Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai and Delhi flight had to make a go around at about 3:47pm.
JetLite's Jammu-Srinagar-Delhi-Mumbai flight had to be diverted to Lucknow at 04.03pm also due to poor weather conditions, airport officials said.
According to Met department, the city received 10.5mm during the day till 5:30 pm while the rain guages measured 13.6mm of showers for a period of 24 hours ending 8:30am today.
