Fireman killed after boulder hits him in Madurai

The man had tied a rope around the cow and was watching it being hauled up from a well by his colleagues when a boulder from a nearby hill fell on him killing him on the spot.

A fireman was killed on the spot when a boulder fell on him while he was trying to rescue a cow which fell into a well at Jambalapuram in this district last evening, police said.

The man had tied a rope around the cow and was watching it being hauled up from the well by his colleagues yesterday when
the boulder from a nearby hill fell on him killing him on the spot, they said.
