A shopping complex was partially destroyed in a fire in Kupwara district, officials said today.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
The fire broke out in the complex in Kralgund area of Handwara, 80 km from here, last night. Five fire tenders were pressed into service which took about half-an-hour to douse the flames, they said.
Seven shops were damaged in the incident, a fire department spokesman said, adding, the cause behind the fire was not yet known.
The complex is next to a godown of consumer affairs and public distribution department.
