Expired drugs, pills found dumped in pond in Tamil Nadu

Large quantities of expired capsules and pills meant for free distribution among patients at Government Hospital were found dumped in a pond in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu.

Officials inspected drug stores after the spurious drugs were found yesterday, but said they did not detect any stocks of spurious drugs.

Two days back, a large quantity of pain killers and other pills were found dumped near the Kundoorani Government Hospital there.

Officials said stern action would be taken against those responsible.
