Breaking his silence over the examgate, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday promised action against the school education minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed by Friday.
“(I) am discussing Peerzada matter with my allies as he holds a portfolio allocated to them. Expect further action in the matter tomorrow [Friday]”, Omar tweeted. This follows Crime Branch report purportedly indicting the officials of state Board of School Education for helping education minister’s foster son to allegedly cheat in class X examination in 2009.
“Even though the crime branch have stopped short of naming the persons who influenced the cheating it’s the proverbial Ceaser’s wife story”, he said.
