Engine and 4 bogies of passenger train derail in Bihar

There was no report of casualty or injury to anyone, railway sources said.

An engine and four bogies of a passenger train on Thursday derailed near Sidhwalia station on Chapra-Thawe rail section of the North-East Railway (NER) in Bihar's Gopalganj district, railway sources said.

There was no report of casualty or injury to anyone, they said.

The cause of derailment was not known immediately, the sources said adding that the movement of trains on down line of the Chapra-Thawe section has been disrupted.

The railway officials, including engineers, have rushed to the spot to supervise repair works for restoration of train service on Chapra-Thawe section, they said.
