Elderly woman found dead in Delhi

An 65-year-old woman, who was staying alone, was found dead under mysterious circumstances today at her residence in south Delhi, police said.

Basanti was found dead inside her home in East of Kailash by her son at around 8 PM after the neighbours informed him that a foul smell was emanating from the building, they said.

The victim has four sons and all of them are living in various parts of the city.

Blood stains were found near her body which was partially decomposed, police said adding that she could have died two-three days ago.

Police said they were investigating the matter.
