Actor Anupam Kher's visit to the Hyderabadi Biryani restaurant in the city on Sunday night lead to fist fight between two people eager about getting the actor's autograph.
The actor was dining at the hotel located near Devashish School, Bodakdev when the incident happened. According to case details on seeing Kher dining at the hotel, many people started rushing to his table for autographs. A woman, wife of one Atit Patel (30), a resident of Ambawadi was also part of the crowd that went for an autograph.
However, an altercation ensued between Patel and Ronak Brahmbhatt (26), a resident of Devguni apartment, Navrangpura. Patel accused Brahmbhatt of molesting his wife. Soon the duo nearly came to blows with each other.
According to a complaint filed by Balwinder Singh Harbajjan Singh, the manager of the hotel, Brahmbhatt and Patel were in an inebriated state when the brawl broke out.
Investigating officer in the case ASI Ajit Sinh Chudasma of Vastrapur police station said the duo would be subjected to medical test to confirm whether or not they were drunk.
