Depressed over family dispute Delhi youth commits suicide

Depressed over family dispute, a 22-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling at his residence in north-east Delhi today, police said.

The deceased, identified as Ashish, was found hanging in his house in Seemapuri at around 3pm. He was a driver by profession, they said.

He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital where he was declared brought dead. No suicide note was recovered from him.

Neighbours told police that he was apparently depressed due to continuous fights in his family.

"Today also there was a fight between family members and he managed to settle the issue. After sometime, he went inside his room and did not come out till two hours. Later he was found hanging," a senior police official said.
