Delhi building collapse: Sonia Gandhi visits the injured in hospital

Congress president Sonia Gandhi today met the injured survivors of the east Delhi building collapse at a hospital and asked authorities to take adequate measures to help the affected.

Gandhi consoled the injured and their family members and spoke to the medical superintendent of Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital where 28 of the 130 wounded were admitted.

The UPA chairperson said that strict action should be taken against the guilty. She asked hospital authorities to take measures to help patients, Delhi Pradesh Congress president JP Agarwal, who accompanied her during the visit, told reporters in the capital.

At least 65 were killed and 130 injured when the four-storey building came crashing down in Lakshmi Nagar area last evening.
