Goa home minister Ravi Naik has said that the government would examine the chargesheet filed by National Investigation Agency in the Margao bomb blast case before deciding a ban on right wing Hindu organization 'Sanatan Sanstha'.

"We will go through the charge sheet by NIA before deciding anything," Naik told reporters here yesterday adding that the director general of police (DGP) Bhimsen Bassi will be asked to examine the chargesheet.

Naik said that the state government had not thought about the ban earlier and is solely waiting for NIA investigation to get over.

"I can't say whether the ban would be recommended or not," the Home Minister said.

NIA, which is probing the Margao bomb blast case is expected to file the charge sheet by May 17, 2010 in two different courts at Margao and Vasco.

The blast at Margao on Diwali eve last year had killed two people on the spot while police had diffused unexploded Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at Sancoale, 20 km away from Margao.

Four accused were arrested for hatching conspiracy to execute bomb blast at five places in the state.

All four were commonly linked to Sanatan Sanstha, which is operating through its Ashram at Ramnathi village, 35 km away from here.

The organisation was under scanner after the blast and its Ashram was raided several times by Goa police and NIA.
