Dalit girl gangraped in Uttar Pradesh

A dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by three youths at Dadheru village in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said today.

The victim's father has lodged an FIR with the police alleging that three youths, identified as Vikas, Kamal and Kuli, abducted the girl yesterday and raped her.

The girl has been sent for a medical examination and a case registered under IPC section 376 (rape) against the three accused who are absconding, the police said.

In a separate incident, another girl was raped by a youth in Baghra village in the same district yesterday when she had gone to collect grass.
