A CPI-M worker was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Khayrasole in Birbhum district, the police said today.
Basudeb Das (40) was shot from a close range after raiding his house at Tarapur village late last night before his wife and minor daughter, superintendent of police, Birbhum, Rabindranath Mukherjee said.
The man died on the spot and the policemen rushed to the spot early in the morning, the police said.
