To verify the claims of Mumbai woman Shaheda that she is the mother of six-month-old 'Bhoomi', the railway police will send a team to Mumbai to meet her neighbours and relatives. The decision was taken after the DNA test came negative.

According to GRP inspector PP Pirozia, the test can give negative results because of many factors. "So, we will personally visit Shaheda's place in Mumbai and talk to local people who know Shaheda and her family. We are even planning to meet the passengers of Janmabhoomi Express to get some clue," said Pirozia.

On Thursday, a DNA test was conducted to determine the relationship between 'Bhoomi' and Shaheda. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) concluded that both are not related.
Pirozia said that the FSL report indicates that Shaheda is not Bhoomi's mother.  "FSL checked 16 different criteria of the DNA from their blood samples, but only four matched. This indicates that Shaheda is not Bhoomi's mother," said Pirozia.

GRP officials have also got the list of some passengers who were travelling in Janmabhoomi Express on March 28. "We have also planned to check the complaint filed by Shaheda at Mumbra police station in Mumbai against her husband. It will prove critical to determine the claims of Shaheda," said Pirozia.

When the media started flashing the news about Bhoomi on March 29, Shaheda called up Mahipatram Rupram Ashram, where the young girl was kept, and told the authorities that she was Bhoomi's mother.

According to Shaheda, her husband took her daughter with him without informing anyone. For the last one month, he kept her with him before abandoning her. She claimed that her husband had a dispute with her and other relatives, which led him to commit such an act.
