Constable found dead

The dead body of a police constable with stab wounds on it was recovered from the ravines near Dumad Chokdi on the Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway, police said Monday. Police got the information that Ambalal Chauhan's body with stab wounds was lying in the ravines at Dumad chokdi, they said.

Police suspect it to be a case of murder and further investigations is on, they said.
As per primary investigation, Ambalal Chaganbhai Chauhan (45), was a police constable at the Vadodara rural police station and had gone to Vasna Kotaria village with his colleague for repair work in his two-wheeler.

Both of them reached Dumad early on Monday morning and Ambalal dropped him and said he would be back in sometime. Even after waiting for Ambalal for two hours, he did not return. His colleague contacted the police station and a search operation was initiated.
A STD booth owner, Sardarsingh Rathod saw Ambalal's body in a field on way to Dumad crosses roads. He informed later informed the police and he was identified.
There were stabs on his body and his cellphone was missing from his pocket too. The body was later sent for post mortem and the rural police have started investigations in this regard.
