Union law minister M Veerappa Moily said on Monday Congress would come up with an “appropriate response at the right time” to the activities of Kadappa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“There is no need to enter into an argument on this issue,” he told the media when asked why the party acted so swiftly against pro-Jagan Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Ambati Rambabu.

Jagan, son of former Andhra chief minister YSR Reddy, has been posing problems for the Congress leadership consistently defying directives against his Odarpu Yatra.

The popular response to the yatra has been acting as a deterrent to disciplinary action against him.

Moily, Congress organisational in-charge for Andhra, met party president Sonia Gandhi with chief minister K Rosaiah and other leaders. “We did not discuss the Jagan issue. The meeting was about organisational affairs,” he said.
