A Congress leader was among four members of a family killed when a car rolled down into a gorge on Jammu-Srinagar national highway here today, police said.
The car, on its way from Ramban to Jammu, skidded off the highway and rolled down into the gorge at Jhakhani belt of
Udhampur district, they said.
Vijay Singh, Haider Singh, Sham Singh and Ramban block president of Congress Shakti Singh, were killed on the spot while Bhodi Singh received injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Police and locals have launched a rescue operation.
