Congress candidate from Jalandhar Central Assembly seat Rajinder Beri has been booked for distributing liquor to voters, Special Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, Usha R Sharma, on Thursday said.
She said all activities of candidates are being closely monitored and steps have been taken to check supply of liquor in the state to woo the electorate.
She said cases of seizure of unaccounted cash totalling Rs 32.5 crore has been referred to the IT Department.
