A 24-year old woman has submitted a memorandum to district collector seeking justice from a private hospital, which reportedly carried out more than three surgeries in connection with her delivery.
The woman was admitted to the hospital in Sundarapuram and delivered a male baby on October 12 and after which she developed bleeding, necessitating a surgery, she said in the memorandum said.
She was kept in an ICU and being given treatment for 16 days and was discharged on October 28, it said.
However, a couple of days later, she developed pain in the stomach, which was diagnosed as uterus problem. After testing, the uterus was removed, she said in the memorandum.
The woman said she had spent about Rs 3.5 lakh for treatment.
