Communal violence breaks out in Rae Bareli; 5 children injured

Atleast five children were today injured when members of two communities clashed with each other over a petty issue in Jais town of the district, police said in Rae Bareli.

Some children scuffled with each other while playing cricket this afternoon which soon took a communal turn after elders of the two communities pitched in and clashed with each other, they said.

Senior officers, including district magistrate and Superintendent of Police, have reached the spot and heavy force has been deployed in the wake of tension in the area.
