University of Pune’s (UoP) dream project ‘MTech-PhD programme’ will be launched on November 11. Industrialist Baba Kalyani will inaugurate the course programme run by the new department of technology. This industry-supported course was the dream project of UoP’s ex-vice chancellor, RK Shevgaonkar, who will be a special guest at the event. Expecting mothers queue up for babies
Women with delivery dates closer to November 11 have already started booking rooms in hospitals with a request to give birth on the magical date. While 10/10/10 saw less number of deliveries as it was a Sunday, doctors are expecting a busy day on 11/11/11 as they have got nearly six to seven requests already. In fact many deliveries are scheduled at 11 am on November 11.

Short film, Project 11, to be released
Vikas Chandra’s first short film, Project 11, features 11 videogamers and 11 directors will be released on 11/11/11 at precisely 11.11 am. The film is an 11-minute, 11-second film that will be launched online by Chandra who is fascinated with the number 11. The synopsis of the movie states that Project 11 is an underground videogame in which 11 gamers across the world are racing to cross the elusive level-11. Target of setting 11 world records by today
An Indore-based association has set an ambitious target of setting not one or two but 11 new world records to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The deadline for creating the records is November 11. This grand exercise will include both, making new records and breaking the old ones and school students will be the main contributors in this grand project.
Association president Manish Vishnoi told DNA that the event is named ‘Miracle of 1’ since it started on November 1 and will last till November 11 with 11 records created by the end. Video recordings are being done of every event and so far, citizens have broken two international records of ‘highest number of people wearing paper hats’ and ‘highest number of people involved in continuous reading relay’.bangalore
Couples book hospital beds months in advance
Talk about advance planning and couples in the city have already booked hospital beds for deliveries months in advance. The craze for booking ‘auspicious’ or ‘fancy’ dates for the delivery of babies reached new heights with city couples booking dates like 11/11/11 and 12/12/12 almost. Dr Kishore Kumar, chairman and managing director, The Cradle, said that couples had asked to book suites even before conceiving.
