With an aim to widen their field of operation in the case relating to missing 11-year-old Vishwa, city cops have decided to enlist the services of CID crime's human trafficking department. The decision was taken on Thursday in a review meeting of police officials investigating the case.
Ajay Tomar, JCP, sector 1, called a review meeting of police officers to remain abreast with progress in the case. The meeting was attended by MS Sindha (senior PI, Anandnagar), PS Goswami (investigative officer in the case) and PC Joshi, ACP 'A' Division.
According to sources, officials in the conference discussed possibility of roping in the CID crime's human trafficking department to find out Vishwa. City cops have already taken help of Mumbai crime branch in their mission to find the girl. ACP Joshi sent a team to Mumbai to find out Vishwa."We have sent one team out of the 13 we have to Mumbai in search of the girl, in case she was taken there after a possible abduction," said Joshi. It is eight days since Vishwa went missing from a wedding that took place in her society in Anandnagar. Police have been trying hard, playing one card after the other to trace the missing child, failing greeting them in each attempt. They also conducted special screening of the wedding video too.
Since the possibility of an outsider hand is getting thinner with every passing day, cops now focus on close relatives of Vishwa. An insider's role in her disappearance cannot be ruled out, sources said.
