Self-styled chief of army of Kangleipak Communist Party-military task force, identified as Pamei, was arrested, sources said adding arms and many incriminating documents were recovered from him.

The chief of a militant organisation was arrested on Saturday during a combing operation in the interior of Bishenpur district in Manipur, police sources said.
Police personnel and commandos had launched a massive manhunt at parts of the district following reports of infiltration of militants.
During the search operation, self-styled chief of army of Kangleipak Communist Party-military task force, identified as Pamei, was arrested, sources said adding arms and many incriminating documents were recovered from him.
Sources said more than 25 militant outfits are operating in Manipur in both hills and valley which has a total area of 22,239 square kms and a population of about 25 lakhs.
