The chargesheet was filed against junior inspector Abdul Majid Shah, who was caught accepting a bribe of Rs600 on February 8, 2007, a state vigilance organisation spokesman said.

He said Shah, who was then posted in the mechanical inspection cell of SRTC, had allegedly demanded a bribe from Shafat Ahmad Dar, a resident of Rawalpora locality of Srinagar, for conducting an inspection of his vehicle that had met with an accident and was seized by the police.
