India's second moon mission Chandrayaan-II will be launched in 2013, its project head said today.
Chandraayan-II has been designed with new technologies for communication, project director, Chandrayaan-I and II of the Indian Space Research Organisation,Mylsaamy Annadurai told reporters at Chunkankadai near here.
Designing work of Chandraayan-II was done at a cost of Rs425 crore, he said.
Chandrayaan-II, also an unmanned mission, will land on the lunar surface and test the minerals present in moon and compare the result with the test data collected by Chandraayan-I, he added.
